When my house in Kei burned down, many people in the village died, and

all we could do was escape to Kou.
最後に家の焼け跡を見に行って
So I went to see the remains of my house for the last time.

もう悲しくて悲しくて、我慢できなくて
I was so sad, I couldn't hold it.
一生、泣き止めないかと思った。
I thought I could never stop crying.
あぁ。人が泣くのには、ふたつあるんだなって思った。
But then I realized that there are two reasons why someone cries.
自分がかわいそうで泣くのと、ただもう…悲しいのと。
One is when you feel sorry for yourself and the other is when you're just really sad.
自分がかわいそうで泣くのはさ、ガキの涙だよ。
Crying when you feel sorry for yourself is something a child does.
