ジントが人質として拉致された。
犯人は惑星上、ラフィールは軌道上の宇宙船の中。
通信により交渉が行われる中、
首謀者であるアンガスンはジントを蹴り飛ばす。

ラフィール（独白）
今すぐ、地上世界へ降りて行きたい。
I'd like to go down to that planet right now...
あの無法者に、星達の眷属がいかに報復を果たすか、この手で教えてやりたい！
...and teach that creep how the kin of the starts exact revenge with my bare hands!
アンガスン
俺は死を恐れないぞ。
I'm not afraid of dying.
子供が作れないなら、死んだも同じだ。
If we can't breed then we might as well be dead.
女達を連れていくのをやめろ。
So stop taking our women away!
そうでなきゃ、こいつを殺す。
Or we'll kill him.
お前達は、俺を殺ることはできるかもしれないが、こいつを生きかえらすことはできない。
You may be able to kill us but you can't make him come back to life.

われわれは、復讐を律儀に果たすことを自らの存在理由のひとつと考えています。
We believe that the faithful execution of revenge is one of the primary reasons that we, as Abh, exist.
そして、アーブの不当な死にかかわった者には、この銀河に死よりおぞましいものがあることを体験から学んでもらうことにしているのです。
If anyone is found guilty of murdering a fellow Abh, we believe it is important for them to learn that there is a fate worse than death in this galaxy.

その死はどんな形をしています？

もし一条の凝集光が与えるたぐいのものを想像しているなら、あなたの期待は裏切られるでしょう。
If you believe death at our hands will be merciful and humane, I'm afraid your expectations are sorely lacking.
その認識が間違っていたことを悟る時間は、たっぷり与えられることは保証します。
I guarantee you will be given plenty of opportunity to recognize just how wrong your expectations were.
アーブの復讐がいかなるものかを学んだなら、あなたはどんな苦痛に満ちた死でもいいから与えてくれと懇願するでしょう。
Once you have learned how the Abh exact their revenge, you will beg us to kill you by any means, no matter how painful.
だが、あなたにはそれすら与えられない。
However we won't give you that luxury.
我々は宗教を信じませんが、地獄の実在だけは信じます。
We may not believe in religion but we do believe in hell.
なぜならまさにこの銀河にそれは存在し、われらアーブの手の内にあるからです。
That's because in this galaxy hell does exist and it is in the hands of the Abh.
星界の戦旗はとてもよく構成されているアニメと思いました。 銀河分け目（？）の大決戦と、主人公達の乗る一突撃艦とがうまくストーリー的にからんでくる。 その点、Ⅱのほうはどうかなとはじめのほうは不安だったのですが、回を重ねる度に面白くなって来ました。 ストーリーの面白さは、原作が人気小説である強みかも知れないな、と思います。
